Ferndale Cat Shelter - Can we save 50 kittens?

We're saving the world, one cat at a time. Every year, FCS finds homes for nearly 1,000 homeless cats in metro Detroit. Today, more than 250 cats and kittens are happily enjoying our community Catfé or foster homes, sleeping comfy on couches rather than roughing it outside. On average, it costs more than $425 to prepare each cat for adoption, and our adoption fees cover less than half those costs. Luckily, we have an incredible community of supporters who help sponsor supplies and medical care for kittens in need. Right now, we're deep in kitten season, when we are flooded with kittens because their parents prefer to ~go on dates~ when it's warm through spring and summer. Would you help sponsor a kitten this month? 

Thank you for your amazing support so far! We exceeded our fundraising goal of $10,625, which helps 25 kittens find their forever homes. Throughout August, we've already taken in 35 cats and kittens. Do you think we can go even further and save 50 kittens with $21,250 in total giving? Your gift goes a long way to helping save more cats in our community. 

• $10 provides one kitten enough wet food for 10 days (they're always eating!)
• $20 covers one of three vaccines all kittens need before they can be adopted
• $50 provides enough dry food to feed a litter of kittens until they're adopted
• $75 covers one neuter surgery for a male kitten
• $150 covers one spay surgery for a female kitten
• $425 sponsors one kitten from the moment they enter the Catfé to when they leave for their forever home*

*If you donate $425 or more, we would love to offer you an opportunity to name a kitten. We will ask you for a name when you donate and will share a photo with you when a kitten is selected for your name. Naming is also available for individuals who fundraise $425 or more with the peer-to-peer fundraising tool linked above.
