Rocket's mission is to help everyone home, and we know that the journey to finding home looks different for everyone. Every day, more than 700 children enter the foster care system, often leaving everything they know behind as they move into a new home.
That's why Rocket Money is supporting Comfort Cases during this year’s Community Challenge. Based in Gaithersburg, Maryland, just 20 minutes from our Silver Spring office, Comfort Cases’ work ensures that children entering foster care are met with dignity, hope, and support during one of the most challenging transitions of their lives.
Every “Comfort Case” provides children with essential items, comfort, and the reassurance that they are seen and cared for as they enter a new home. Through this fundraiser and partnership with Comfort Cases, we're helping foster children begin their next chapter with greater comfort, confidence, and the support they deserve - because everyone deserves to feel at home.
More about Comfort Cases
Comfort Cases inspires communities to bring dignity and hope to youth in foster care.
On any given day, there are more than 330,000 children in foster care in the United States. Most of them are removed from their homes with little more than the clothes on their backs. If they do have any personal belongings, they are given a trash bag in which to carry them.
At Comfort Cases, we believe that every child deserves to feel a sense of dignity. Every child deserves to pack their belongings in a special bag that they can call their very own. Every child deserves to have a cozy new pair of pajamas, a brand new warm blanket, and a new stuffed animal to hug during the traumatic transition into foster care.
We are committed to engaging communities and educating the public about the issues facing youth in foster care. We believe in the importance of encouraging young people to lead by example and to take action to alleviate the suffering of children in the system. We provide volunteer opportunities for all ages so that the entire community can truly be involved together.
