Supporting Free After School Tutoring & STEM Club

Every day at 4:00 PM, when the final school bell rings, my classroom empties out except for a bright, energetic group of 4th to 8th graders who stick around. School can be tough, but learning should still spark joy. That is why our After School Tutoring & STEM Club, hosted alongside the Accelerate4KIDS Foundation and Ford, is the best part of my day.

In partnership with Ford, we offer a 100% FREE program for Detroit Public Schools students running Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Our Daily Schedule

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM | Snacks & Math Tutoring: We fuel up with healthy snacks, unwind, and dive into math and homework support to build confidence.

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM | Hands-On STEM Projects: Students roll up their sleeves for engineering, coding, robotics, game design, and digital arts with new real-world challenges every month.

STEM Tech & Gear: High-speed laptops, robotics kits, drone parts, and 3D printing supplies.
