I'd like to tell you a bit about an organization that is really important to me:

You may or may not know that substance abuse is a major part of my life story. In fact, after 46 years of abusing various substances (yes alcohol is a substance) in December of 2022 I poured myself into rehab. I am now on a mission to help others have the opportunity to have what undoubtedly saved my life - sobriety.  

HLC is a non profit that creates a safe non-judgmental environment that nurtures hope and fellowship. Their aim is to help individuals live a substance – free life with dignity and community support. HLC provides recovery meetings, support resources, detox and rehabilitation placement, assistance with obtaining government provided resources and advocacy services within the community.
