Keep Belle Isle Beautiful is powered by people who care about keeping one of Detroit’s most beloved public spaces clean, welcoming and beautiful, and we need your help to keep that work going.

Each year, Belle Isle Conservancy brings together thousands of volunteers through public cleanups and Corporate Days of Service to tackle litter across the island, from beaches and trails to shorelines and canals. Rocket team members have been an incredible part of that effort, rolling up their sleeves alongside us to make a real, visible difference on Belle Isle.

But getting hundreds of volunteers out into the park takes more than willing hands. Your donation helps us purchase the supplies and equipment that make these cleanups possible: gloves, trash grabbers, buckets, bags, safety supplies, water and hydration stations, cleanup tools and more.

We're also dreaming bigger. One of our favorite ways to reach litter that can't be accessed from land is through kayak cleanups in Belle Isle's canals and waterways. Our current fleet limits how many volunteers we can safely get on the water at once. Additional kayaks and water-cleanup equipment would allow us to expand these events, engage more volunteers and reach even more of the island.

Belle Isle is Michigan's most visited state park, welcoming millions of visitors each year. Keeping 982 acres of parkland and miles of shoreline beautiful is a big job, but when our community shows up together, the impact is huge.
