Humane Tomorrow has been my life since 1997 when I was one of the people who founded it. What started as a scrappy little rescue group has grown into one of the most respected (if I may say so myself) and successful animal welfare organizations in north Texas. 

The need for fundraising, like the need for getting animals out of shelters, is never-ending. We never know what will come in next...a group of dogs so starved and covered in mange that we can' tell what breed they are...a litter of kittens with ringworm...a dog so neglected and matted that she needs a professional groomer (or, one time, 51 of those matted dogs). 

What makes us special is that our animals live in foster homes, not a shelter, where their personality can shine through, they can learn what it's like to have a real home, and where they can get the hands-on care so many of them need to be ready to go out into the world and start their lives over. Sally was one of those very special foster dogs who came through my house, and I hope you'll watch her video and smile like I still do when I think about her...and maybe toss a few dollars our way (or better yet, see me about becoming a foster home!):
