Making 2026 Summer in The D Camp Bigger and Better

We had an amazing turn out at this year’s Summer in the D Camp. The feedback we got from both the parents and students was they wanted more. 

Emily Xiao, an instructor for Accelerate4Kids & college student, is experiencing both sides simultaneously and sees the real time effects of hands on instruction and connection. 

After a visit from the Taylor Police Department demonstrating their use of drones, there was significant interest from the students. We want to support this interest of theirs while they still have it. We would love to be able to provide a drone coding course during this camp AND let them keep the drones at the end of it. 

Our Chromebooks have been super helpful throughout the camp but we can unlock more possibilities if we had access to a computer lab with a 3D printer. Students would be able to see tangible results from their digital skills.
