Staci's 2025 I Heart Dogs Community Challenge

I Heart Dogs Rescue and Animal Haven mission is to, "Lead the no-kill movement by rescuing, rehabilitating, re-homing and providing a place of refuge for homeless dogs, while also providing a haven for the pets belonging to domestic violence survivors".

They have brought two dogs Guss and Otto into my home. Above is a photo of Guss when he was brought into the rescue and the second is a few months after I had him. He brought a new energy into the home after my oldest dog was having kidney issues. Otto was a hospice dog that had been abused, he was severely underweight, in renal failure, had anemia, and broken bones that were never treated. He was the sweetest dog that loved to cuddle and loved laying on his hammock. My sister has a Pit Bull mix named Smokey that she took in from I Heart Dogs also and with her almost 10years now.
