They didn’t expect us to show up with more than bookbags.They thought the “back-to-school event” would be a couple of giveaways and free hot dogs. Instead, they found 50+ tables offering healing, housing help, wellness resources, and community — many for the first time.

This is what Levadeh does: we bridge gaps with love, strategy, and presence.

From one-on-one parenting support to women's wellness gatherings, fitness forums, community healing circles, and civic engagement — we’re building a new normal on Detroit’s east side. But this kind of impact takes consistency and care behind the scenes.

That’s why we’re asking for your help to raise $15,000 to sustain and expand our outreach.

Health Initiatives: (Our Goal is $4,000) Every family deserves to thrive. We uplift Women’s Wellness and Community Fitness through events like our Workout Windup, Galentine's Celebration, Community Baby Showers, and more! We give out vital information (and even contraception), at our health-centered gatherings. Your gift helps us host a community event and support two expectant families with full-spectrum doula care. 

Education Initiatives: (Our Goal is $3,000) Knowledge grows freedom. Your gift will help us introduce three community workshop series — like ValuAble (an Emporwement series), Just Us Talking (Alternative Dispute Resolution Education), VisionAction (Goal Casting, Planning, & Accountability), and other healing education circles that empower neighbors to learn, share, and lead. This will help us offer 6 new workshops to our community.

Relationships Initiatives: (Our Goal is $4000) Healthy families build healthy communities. We are expanding our reach to offer the Levadeh HERO Parenting Classes and Gentle Personing relationship-strengthening workshops that support 80 more families and individuals in our community. Reducing Friend of the Court caseloads, and progressing towards the establishment of Community Courts. 

Ownership Initiatives: (Our Goal is $5,000) Abundance includes having a stake in your neighborhood’s future. Raising $5,000 helps us provide empowering education in the areas of civic engagement, personal accountability, and even sustainability education for energy efficiency and urban gardening, impacting 50 households on Detroit's Eastside.  

These initiatives have a powerful impact:

• Hosting free healing-centered events for families, women, and youth

• Expanding direct outreach to neighbors and schools

• Equiping our community leaders and volunteers with the tools to grow

• Develop culturally rooted programming that centers joy, wholeness, and ownership

• Keep us showing up in the neighborhoods where we’re most needed — week after week
