Founded in 1839, the Detroit Boat Club Crew is one of the oldest rowing clubs in North America. Sponsored by Friends of Detroit Rowing, our mission is to educate, inspire, and expand access to the sport of rowing throughout Metro Detroit.
The Detroit Boat Club Crew provides rowing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, from first-time rowers to athletes competing on national, international, and Olympic stages.
This year marks a historic milestone for our organization with the completion of our new shellhouse on Belle Isle. This new building was the result of a successful multi-year capital campaign supported by hundreds of generous donors and allows us to welcome more athletes, expand programming, and serve the Detroit community for generations to come.
Your Rocket Community Challenge donation will help your team member raise funds towards new Equipment. Juniors are raising funds for a new boat, masters are raising funds for new oars and the rec team is raising funds for megaphones and a cox box. Whichever team you choose to support every donation is appreciated!
