Getting Started

Participating in the Rocket Community Challenge is a great way to boost donor support and raise awareness of the critical work your organization is providing to the community. Below, we've outlined a few steps to get you started.
1. Register to participate
Each year, organization's across the country are nominated by Rocket team members to participate in the Rocket Community Challenge. Those nominated organizations receive an email invitation to register for the Community Challenge.

2. Access your organization page
Click Log In at the top right corner of the rocketcommunitychallenge.com website to log in to your admin account. Log in with your email. Click your user icon at the top right to show a drop down menu. Click your organization name. This will bring you to your organization overview page.

3. Develop your fundraising strategy

Use the resources included in this toolkit to learn how to edit your organization page to provide the ultimate donor experience, select your preferred disbursement settings, and recruit and support peer-to-peer fundraisers.

4. Share your organization page

Head to your organization page on the Rocket Community Challenge website and copy the url in our browser. Share this link with your supporters to bring them to your organization page. From here, supporters can read more about your org, donate, or set up a peer-to-peer fundraising page.

Resources for Participating Organizations

Whether you're just starting out or you're a seasoned Rocket Community Challenge pro, we've gathered essential guides, tools, and tips to help you plan, execute, and manage your Rocket Community Challenge campaign effectively. Register for the Rocket Community Challenge

Each year, organization's across the country are nominated by Rocket team members to participate in the Rocket Community Challenge. Those nominated organizations receive an email invitation to register for the Community Challenge. After completing the registration form, your organization will be placed in a pending status as the Rocket Community Challenge team determines your eligibility. Once reviewed you will receive an email notification that confirms whether your organization has been approved to participate in this years Community Challenge.

The following assets should be used by participating non-profit organizations to promote fundraising during the Rocket Community Challenge. Recommended channels include: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.

1. NPO Participation Ad:

This ad should be used at the beginning of the Challenge to let NPO followers know that the NPO is participating in the Challenge.

Copy Guidelines: 

1-3 sentences about why your NPO is participating in the Rocket Community Challenge, as well as the link to your NPOs page on the Community Challenge site. Explaining what the organization hopes to achieve or fund with the money from the Challenge is a great way to boost participation.

2. NPO Share Graphic: 

This ad should be added to each NPOs donation confirmation thank you page for donors to share once they have made a donation. 

Copy Guidelines: 

Copy should communicate why the donor chose to donate and support that specific non-profit. It should also encourage followers to donate and/or follow the non-profit with links to the Community Challenge website. 


Instructions on adding this image:

  1. Make sure you're logged into your account and on your Organization page.
  2. Click the CHECKOUT > THANK-YOU PAGE  option on your organization dashboard.
  3. From here you can add text, the above image, video, etc. to customize your organization's donation confirmation thank you page for the Challenge.

3. NPO Last Push Fundraising Ad:

This ad should be shared on Monday, August 25th, the last week of fundraising for the Challenge.  

Copy Guidelines: 

Copy should relay a sense of urgency and ask followers to consider donating or sharing this graphic, if they can.
