$125,000 Goal

Harvest Compassion Center’s mission is to provide food and clothing in a hope-filled environment to the underserved in the Valley through what we call ‘Food Banking Reimagined.’

Harvest Compassion Center (HCC) was launched in 2011 to immediately serve the needs of children and their families in Arizona’s most underserved communities. Our goals are simple: reduce food insecurity for children living in poverty, improve their overall quality of life at home, and enhance their school readiness and academic success. And, of course, we want to achieve all of this while having a lot of fun!

Kids need to feel like kids, especially those living in low-income families every day. These goals directly led us to design and create the HCC model, which is uniquely different from other food and clothing assistance programs serving children, where pre-packed food is handed out to the masses, and clients rummage through piles of dirty, tattered clothing. Instead, HCC created 'Food Banking Reimagined,' combining mini grocery stores, clothing boutiques, and kids' corners all into one! 'Food Banking Reimagined' at HCC is a place where we would all love to shop, focusing on building authentic friendships and trust with our clients. Once every 30 days, our clients can shop for food, including shelf-stable items, fresh, frozen, and refrigerated foods, as well as clothing, full-size hygiene products, and baby items, all free of charge. We have no qualifications or restrictions to become a client at HCC, and we meet each client right where they're at to provide life's basic necessities

Today, there are three HCC centers, located in North Phoenix (85032), West Phoenix (85017), and Maryvale (85033).
