ABOUT SIENA LITERACY CENTER

Siena Literacy Center provides educational programming for adults in reading, math, English language, workforce development, and digital literacy. We believe that education helps create equity, empowering individuals to reach their potential as parents, wage earners, and community members.

Adult learners of all ages and backgrounds study at Siena. Each learner works one-to-one with a personal tutor in reading, math, or English language. Lessons are tailored to meet learners' specific needs and goals. Learners also have access to our computer lab and self-paced learning software. Siena Literacy Center also offers computer skills training and certification through the Northstar Digital Literacy program.

Since 1995, Siena Literacy Center has served more than 2,500 learners from more than 21 countries. Learners study at Siena for diverse reasons:

  • To prepare for a GED class
  • To improve job skills and employability
  • To practice filling out forms and applications
  • To take the US citizenship test
  • To prepare for other entry level exams
  • To improve computer skills and digital literacy
  • To become more involved in their community
  • To help their children with their homework
