Mutera Global Healing

Mutera Global Healing is a trauma-informed nonprofit that began as a lifeline for survivors of childhood sexual violence in East Africa—providing free medical, legal, and mental health services. Over the past decade, we’ve supported hundreds of survivors and trained communities to break the cycle of abuse through prevention, healing, and justice.

Today, our mission has expanded to meet a growing global need: healing the healers. We now also equip leaders, advocates, and organizations—particularly in the U.S.—with culturally grounded trauma-informed strategies and wellness tools. From survivor advocates to nonprofit staff and social justice leaders, we help those on the frontlines of trauma do their work without losing themselves.
