Mary's Place

Mary's Place ensures that no child sleeps outside by centering equity and opportunity for women and families.

Since 1999, Mary's Place has helped tens of thousands of women, children, and families to regain or maintain housing stability. Unfortunately today, we are seeing an increased number of families calling the King County Family Emergency Shelter Intake Line looking for a safe place to come inside. Of the 50-60 calls we'll receive in a day, only one or two families will be offered shelter for the entire week - there simply isn't enough space. 

Mary’s Place is addressing this growing crisis of family homelessness with a three-pronged approach that includes emergency family shelter, mobile outreach for unsheltered families living in cars and tents, and homelessness prevention services, keeping families in their hard-won homes. Together with our generous community, last year we provided shelter and services to 1,873 families including over 3,600 children and helped 1,426 families find or keep stable housing.
