About Us

We are a 501(c)(3) no-kill animal shelter located in Detroit, providing care for up to 52 dogs at any given time. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome stray, abandoned, and abused dogs in the city.

Our Journey

Over the past several years, we have faced and overcome numerous challenges, including:

• A lengthy zoning dispute with the City of Detroit, which forced us to temporarily relocate all animals and absorb nearly a year’s worth of boarding expenses.
• Extensive state-mandated renovations to bring our facility up to code and ensure safe, humane conditions for the dogs in our care.

Despite these obstacles, we’ve remained committed to our mission and have brought our dogs back home. However, we now face a critical turning point.

The Urgent Need

Our current facility—where we’ve operated for the past nine years—is on a month-to-month lease. The property owner has recently listed the building for sale, putting the future of our shelter at risk.

The Opportunity

We are seeking corporate sponsors to help us raise the funds necessary to purchase the building and secure a permanent home for our shelter. Ownership will not only provide long-term stability, but also allow us to grow our impact.

With a permanent facility, we plan to:

• Open a low-cost spay/neuter clinic to address the severe overpopulation crisis affecting Detroit’s dog population.
