Bees in the D

Pollinator populations have collapsed by as much as 93% since 1998. Last year alone, America lost 62% of its bees.

Pollinators support the food we eat, the plants that sustain wildlife, and the ecosystems our communities depend on. When they disappear, the consequences reach all of us.

Bees in the D® is fighting this crisis here in Metro Detroit. We have introduced roughly 12 million honey bees, created a Bee Highway connecting habitat for native pollinators, and bring pollinator education directly into local schools. We have installed over 225 hives at 70+ locations throughout Metro-Detroit.

Your donation helps us protect honey bee colonies, create critical pollinator habitat, and teach the next generation why pollinators matter and how to save them.

Choose Your Impact

  • $5 helps us compete for Rocket’s bonus award for the organization with the most individual donors.
  • $50 provides Varroa mite treatment for 10 hives.
  • $100 provides fuel for our four beekeepers as they care for hives across the region.
  • $150 provides a package of 3,000 new bees.
  • $400 supports an active hive for one season.
  • $1,000 establishes and supports a new hive for one season.

During the Rocket Community Challenge, every donation supports our mission, and every individual donor brings us closer to earning additional funding for pollinator conservation.

Donate today, share this campaign, and help us fight the collapse of pollinators before it is too late.
