Welcome to the 3rd Annual Brian's Bike Ride to Support The Mast Cell Disease Society (TMS)!

Details:

Saturday, August 8, 2026 - 8:30 AM

1101 Hyacinth Ave E, St. Paul, Minnesota

The plan for this 3rd edition of the event is to return to the St. Paul Grand Round, which covers approx. 32 miles going around the city, with almost the entire route on dedicated bike trails. (If you want to turn it into a 50-mile ride, join me around 6 AM for a 15-20 mile ride on the Gateway Trail before everyone else arrives.) Not up for a 32-miler? That's fine. I live right next to several major trails, so you can ride whatever you'd like. Not a biker? Lake Phalen is a 5k, just waiting for you to walk around it. Basically, there are options, and I will support you in whatever you choose to do.

Oh, but now you tell me you're not in Minnesota. That's great - ride wherever you are! I would love to see satellite events in different locations. All I ask is that you let me know what you're doing and share some pictures.

For this year, things are a little different, as I am hosting the event as part of the Rocket Mortgage Community Challenge. This is an annual event that sees nonprofits from around the country raising funds during August, seeking additional prizes from Rocket and their partners. Only funds raised during August count toward the challenge. If we all pedal or step together, we can make a difference for TMS and people impacted by mast cell diseases.

You can go to the TMS website (www.tmsforacure.org) and read my bio among the board members. Long story short, I am the treasurer for TMS, as well as a systemic mastocytosis patient. When I needed to educate myself and my family about this new diagnosis several years ago, TMS was an invaluable resource. When I was asked to serve on the board, I had no idea how many incredible people I would meet on the board, on the TMS staff, among our partners, and among my fellow patients and caregivers. I am proud to be a part of this amazing community of resilient, dedicated people.

Please help by riding or walking in the event or by pledging one of our participants.

Thank you!
