Food Frenzy is a creative summer fundraising competition to ensure young people can access nourishing food when schools close for the summer. By coming together as a community, we can help ensure that families in our area have the food they need to enjoy a bright and joyful summer.
For two action-packed weeks (July 17th to July 31st), businesses and community groups collect food donations, volunteer at the Hunger Solution Center, and host fundraisers that benefit Food Lifeline.
Food Frenzy is a great way to have some much-needed fun with your friends, family, and coworkers while giving back to the community. Contribute to a fundraising event or to our general donation fund and help us knock out hunger!
Here is how you can participate:
- Cutest Companion Contest - Enter your pet, plant or anything that brings you joy by submitting a photo to Lyndsy via email and processing the $25 entry donation by July 24th. Voting runs July 27th through July 31st with vote donations only $5. Winner receives bragging rights and a $25 Gift Card. Click Cutest Companion Contest in Fundraisers above for more info. - Volunteer with Us - Join us on Saturday, July 18th at the Hunger Solution Center from 9am-11am (registration link: https://foodlifeline.volunteerhub.com/vv2/lp/DesignLab#_=_)
- Free Lunch Food Drive - on Thursday, July 23rd, bring a bag of non-perishable food to the DLI office (DLI employees only) and get lunch on us while networking with your colleagues. You can also donate throughout the event via our Amazon Shopping List (https://a.co/03s7lXSV) - just send your receipt to Lyndsy.
- Online Match Day is July 28th - your monetary donation will be matched by Food Lifeline sponsors. Donate on this page by clicking the Donate button below. Donations are of course accepted on other days but your donation will be doubled if you donate on the 28th. During Food Frenzy 2025, Match Day raised $125,728 in a single day.
