I absolutely love volunteering with Make Food Not Waste because every time I spend time with their team, I leave with more than just the feeling that I helped, I leave having learned something, too.

They’ve taught me practical ways to think differently about food waste that I’ve been able to bring right back into my own home. I’ve learned better ways to cut and prepare food to prevent unnecessary waste, creative ways to use ingredients that are starting to go bad, and even how scraps or parts of foods we normally throw away can be turned into something completely new.

Those experiences have made me much more aware of how much perfectly usable food we waste simply because we don’t know what else we can do with it.

That’s one of the reasons their mission means so much to me. Make Food Not Waste isn't just working to reduce food waste, they're giving people practical knowledge they can take home, share with others and turn into everyday habits.

I’m excited to support an organization I genuinely enjoy volunteering with and a mission that has personally changed the way I think about food in my own kitchen.
