The Redfellow Foundation is dedicated to helping independent musical artists overcome the barriers to being seen, heard, followed, and discovered. The organization is centered on the belief that Music is Medicine – for BOTH the creator and the listener. The stories, experiences, and emotions artists share through their music inspire us to open our hearts and minds – to feel, heal, and share something new. In this world that needs so much healing...music matters more than ever.

The Redfellow Foundation was created in memory of Reed Rockfellow Baldwin, a 22-year-old musician who passed away from a car accident on April 1, 2021. Reed was smart, funny, and a passionate musician who loved making innovative, genre-bending music. He published his first album "The Peppermint" in 2020 under the moniker "Redfellow." Since they could no longer support Reed’s dreams of a music career, his family, Brick, Connie, and Ruby Baldwin, decided they would help support other artists to achieve theirs. 

The cornerstone of the Redfellow Foundation is the Redfellow Music Festival (RMF) which launched in 2022. The 5th Anniversary event occurred on July 18, 2026, where ten talented artists and bands performed in a country meadow in Bothell, WA -- to rave reviews. Attendees have called it "a wonderful hidden gem," "delightful," "heartwarming and refreshing," and "the perfect nano-Woodstock."

The RMF is more than just a paying gig for artists – it can be a pivotal moment in their careers. All performers are given professional photos, videos, and tools to help move their goals forward. Each year, one participating artist or band is also granted a free eight-hour recording session at the legendary London Bridge Studios. Powered by a 100% volunteer team and generous sponsors, the Redfellow Music Festival delivers an incredible day for musical hearts and minds.

Beyond the festival, the Redfellow Foundation works hard to empower artists throughout the year:

• Sonic Guild Seattle: In February 2026, the Redfellow Foundation donated $10,000 to Sonic Guild Seattle’s Artist Tour Support program alongside Pearl Jam’s Vitalogy organization and other sponsors.  
• The Reed Baldwin Redfellowship: An annual scholarship and grant program awarded to graduating seniors of Henry M. Jackson High School (JHS), Reed’s alma mater, who are active members in the band or on the robotics team. This scholarship is completely funded through the Everett Public Schools Foundation from the ~$60,000 in donations received in his name from caring family and friends in 2021.
• The Redfellow Room: The Baldwin family donated Reed's sound production studio equipment to JHS so students have a dedicated space where they can learn music production skills and digital audio engineering.
