Henrys Lemonade Stand

Hi! My name is Henry, and I'm a 10-year-old from Michigan with a big heart for animals who don't have a voice.

In 2022, I decided to set up a simple lemonade stand with one goal: to help homeless, abandoned, abused, and neglected animals in local shelters. I had no idea that one small lemonade stand would grow into a nonprofit organization that has raised more than $66,000 to support animal shelters and rescues across southeast Michigan.

Over the past several years, I've learned that making a difference isn't about how old you are—it's about caring enough to take action.

Every dollar raised through Henry's Lemonade Stand has gone toward helping animals in need. Together with my supporters, we've provided food, medical care, emergency assistance, enrichment supplies, shelter improvements, and funding for spay and neuter programs that help reduce pet overpopulation. I've had the privilege of partnering with incredible shelters, rescue organizations, veterinarians, and community members who share my passion for giving animals a second chance.

Along the way, I've been honored to have my story featured by national and local media, including World News Tonight, Woman's World Magazine, and Extraordinary World with Jeff Corwin. While those opportunities have been exciting, the moments I'm most proud of are seeing an adopted shelter pet go home with a loving family or hearing that funds we raised helped save an animal's life.

As I've grown, so has my mission.

Henry's Lemonade Stand has evolved from selling cups of lemonade into a year-round nonprofit dedicated to creating lasting change for animals in our communities.  Our mission continues through generous donors, community partnerships, and supporters who believe one child really can make a difference.

I also believe in inspiring others—especially kids—to discover that age should never be a barrier to serving their community. I hope my journey encourages young people to find a cause they love and realize that even the smallest act of kindness can create a ripple effect far beyond what they ever imagined.
