$5,000 Goal

The Archer Foundation was established in honor of Archer Hill, whose courageous battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG ) inspired a commitment to helping other children and families facing this devastating diagnosis. DIPG is among the most aggressive and fatal pediatric brain cancers, with no curative treatment options and a significant emotional and financial impact on families. DIPG currently has a less than 1 % five-year survival rate and most children live less than a year.  Archer fought hard as a kindergartner for more good days in the world he loved but lost his battle to DIPG in April of 2024 at six years old.

Through our programs, the Archer Foundation provides direct financial assistance to families for housing, transportation, medical-related expenses, and other essential needs during treatment. Almost every parent whose child faces this diagnosis experiences a significant loss of income in order to care for their child and the pressure of having to keep the lights on and food on the table while your child is dying is crushing to so many families.

Since Archer’s passing, the Foundation has assisted nearly 200 families with critical financial assistance, compassionate support, meaningful resources, and moments of hope during an unimaginable journey. Through partnerships with more than 40 children's hospitals, neuro-oncology social workers refer families desperate for hope to the Archer Foundation, where they find a community committed to walking alongside them through every step of the journey.
